Booking Your Tour
Your contract in respect of your tour is made with Borneo Trekker (the company), registered in Brunei Darussalam and all bookings are subject to these terms and conditions.
All travel arrangements should be booked at least within Three (3) business days in advance. For tour packages, we are strongly recommended you to book with a few weeks’ notice. For group tours, we are highly recommended for you to book with a few months’ notice.
Once you have confirmed and submitted their booking and personal travel details to Borneo Trekker, you will receive confirmation booking via e-mail. Please take note, Borneo Trekker reserves the rights to collect deposit or full payment via PayPal prior to the tours or packages booked. There is minimal 3% service charge on the top of its PayPal upon booking. After we received your payment, the tour is confirmed and “Tour Essentials” will be sent via e-mail for their joining instructions on the day.
Payment terms
There are 3 ways to secure your payment when you booking through Borneo Trekker;
- 50% deposit payment via PayPal ; The remaining payment is to be paid in cash (BND/SGD/USD) on the day of the tour.
- 100% payment via PayPal ; You have completed all the payment at once and the tour is fully confirmed.
- Telegraphic Transfer ; It is highly recommended to settle the payment for at least 10 days prior to the day. It can be instantaneous, or it can take about 5-7 business days. Please take note, all the wire fee is fully borne by the sender.
All payments are due in Brunei Dollar (BND) / Singapore Dollar (SGD) / US Dollar (USD). Please take note that Borneo Trekker is not responsible for any changes in currency exchange rate that might occur from the time of booking.
Force Majeure
Borneo Trekker has the right to amend/suspend any tours that might affected by bad weather, fires, problems of transportations, changes imposed by re-scheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline, or natural disaster, and its consequences which arise as a result of events outside of our control.
Cancellation terms

(4) | If notice of cancellation is received by the Company after day of departure, or in case of failure to show without notice | 100% of the tour fare |
Liability
Once you booked through Borneo Trekker, you are agreed to be legally bound by following terms & conditions. Borneo Trekker shall not responsible for any injuries, damages, loses, re- scheduling, sickness. By embarking upon this travel, you voluntarily assume all risks involved with such travel, whether expected or unexpected.
Documentation
It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your travel documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies immediately. Your travel documents are valuable and should be safeguarded as if they were cash. It is not always possible to replace travel documents in the case of loss, theft, damage, etc.
Prior to booking international travel, we recommend that you review any BRUNEI’s prohibitions, warnings and advisories applicable to your destinations. By offering travel to any particular destination, we do not represent that travel in such destination is safe or without risk.
Passport, Visa and Immigration Requirements
It is your responsibility to fulfill the passport, visa and other immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary. You should confirm these with the relevant embassies and/or consulates. We do not accept any responsibility in the case of you being unable to travel due to not complying with any such requirements.
Travel insurance
Please take note individual travel insurance is not included in the tour price and all medical costs and other costs involved must be paid for by you. It is therefore strongly recommended that you take out personal travel insurance, especially for the active tours. We advise to all of our Clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to the departure to meet any contingencies that would cover against charges, medical expenses, loss or damages to luggage and personal liability claims.
